4/10
It’s very well located, with most of the city within walking distance. I’m taking stars off because the hotel badly needs an update and I felt there was a bit of a security risk with the way room keys were handled. They only give one key per room, and staff could assign one to the wrong room by accident.

An older hotel geared toward tour groups. The beds were awful: the mattress sits on screwed-together MDF panels, and any movement makes them squeak loudly. HVAC wasn’t working either. Breakfast was marginal at best, and the orange juice was terrible.

In the new French part of town, near malls and cafes, and easy to get around by bus. The hotel is a little old-school but cosy, and everything works. The staff were really nice and helpful.

The food and service were nice, and the place was pretty clean. The big downside was that our room had no shower power, only water from the tip. The chaos outside could bother someone trying to sleep.

The rooms are simple, nothing special, and the staff are nice. Breakfast wasn’t very good.
