MAJOREL PEARL Restaurant Piscine SPA

Don’t be fooled by the online reviews. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. There were no basic services, the charges were very high, and nobody was available to resolve issues. We had no hot water, and the ACs weren’t working. There wasn’t even anything complimentary for the first night, unlike at other hotels. You’d be better off staying at the railway station or airport for one night.

We really enjoyed our stay overall. After a long journey, it was lovely to arrive at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and fresh smelling, with nice white sheets changed daily. In the evenings, the ambient lighting made sitting by the pool peaceful and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, welcoming and hospitable, and the restaurant served a lovely breakfast each morning. But there was no food or drink available after breakfast, which became an issue when it was reaching 51° and we just wanted cold drinks. We had to go out for lunch and dinner, though luckily there were nearby options. There also wasn't a spa. We asked at the desk and were told the lady wasn't coming in that day, but during our seven days there was no spa available at the hotel. There are plenty of spas and hamams nearby, so that might not be a problem for someone looking for treatments. We spent most of our time at the hotel, though, and the pool was the only thing to keep us entertained.

The cleanliness was top notch, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. But I’d booked with high hopes because the hotel was advertised as having a restaurant and spa, and neither matched what I expected. The restaurant only served breakfast, with no lunch or dinner options, which was a huge letdown since I planned to eat my meals there. There was no spa at the hotel either. The advertising should be updated because it was misleading.

There are good places to eat nearby, a kiosk less than a five-minute walk away, and two pharmacies close by. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, and the staff were pleasant and made it feel like home. Thank you, Abdul, for all your help and advice. My whole family appreciated it. The hotel isn’t a restaurant or spa, which is misleading, but everything else was perfect, so we can’t complain. 10/10 hotel.
