The interior caught me off guard in the best way. We’d happened upon the place while searching for reasonably priced food and somewhere serving alcohol. Dinner was Tanjia, veal for my wife and lamb for me, followed by dessert and a stop at the bar. The portions were so generous that one dessert between us would’ve done it. The food was excellent, the service lovely, prices reasonable, and they take cards. Recommended.

The location made getting around Marrakesh easy, close to a main road and easy to find. We spent a weekend here in January. The room was really spacious, and the staff were so nice, though it was a little expensive. I’d expected more life from a place with a restaurant, but it was pretty quiet. I still loved it.

We stopped into Palais Donab by chance while out walking, and it became such a lovely surprise on our trip. The décor is gorgeous, and just being inside felt a bit like a dream. We tried Moroccan tea (Thé Atay) with dessert, and both were perfect. The setting and atmosphere made the visit memorable. So glad we found it!

Good location, nice staff, and the grounds are fairly beautiful. But that room for €180 a night in a supposed five-star hotel? Come on.

We only came to eat, not to stay overnight. The food was a bit bland, maybe because it’s prepared with European tastes in mind, though I can’t be sure. The setting is right on the edge of the souk, and it felt like the only quiet spot nearby. You can pay by card.
