The team at Riad Ilayka made our stay feel perfect. The lovely women in the kitchen prepared breakfast and tidied our room and shopping bags. The men looked after us too. Young Abdhul made us feel welcome and at home, gave us a heads up to hold onto him when we crossed the road, and took us on the tour in Ilayka. Senior Abdhul welcomed us at breakfast and checked us in again at night. Raheem walked us back to our airport transfer and served our last breakfast. Thank you all for making us feel safe. Our room was clean, and the attention to detail in the decor and toiletries was amazing. The location was perfect. Make sure you find your own landmarks for getting back, since all the lanes look alike, though it was fun to get lost in the Medina. If we could give Riad Ilayka 10 stars, we would. Riad Ilayka was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were outstanding, and the Medina location was perfect. They made us a delicious breakfast each morning and even offered to walk us to dinner at another restaurant on our first night, then to an ATM so we could get cash for the weekend. It was an awesome experience from beginning to end. 5/5 stars.

Abdelilah and Abdelhek (Abdul and Abdul), along with the rest of the staff, made us feel exceptionally welcome. The courtyard, library, and rooms are lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Ilayka riad is close to everything while tucked into a quiet area. Everything about our stay was perfect.

The location made it easy to walk to several of Marrakech’s main sights, and the staff were kind, quick to respond, and easy to communicate with. Our room was beautifully done, with thoughtful details and a very comfortable bed. The courtyard and rooftop terrace overlooking Marrakech were lovely too. Riad Ilayka itself is gorgeous, and I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

Getting to Riad Ilayka through the Medina felt a little tricky on our first day, but once there we found it very central and within walking distance of most major attractions. The terrace was a highlight, with wide views across the Medina and, on clear days, the Atlas Mountains. We loved relaxing there after exploring. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and carefully designed. Service was warm and attentive throughout. It was one of our best stays in Morocco, with a peaceful feel and understated luxury. A great choice for exploring the Medina while having an authentic, comfortable stay.
