Palais Jena Hotel & Spa

The calm outdoor area was lovely, though it was a bit chilly for a swim, and the restaurant was decent. I also liked the bathroom, which was bright and clean. The staff were kind, but that alone doesn’t make this a four-star hotel. We had a junior suite with a terrace. It was very spacious and looked clean when we checked it, but the lock on the terrace glass door was broken, so we had to call reception. Someone came to drill while we were still in the room, which wasn’t pleasant. The lighting was awful, and the twin bed beside the king had no headboard. On the way to the room, I noticed the corridor carpet was dirty. The location was fine, nothing special, and there’s no enclosed parking, just a place to leave the car in front of the hotel. Check-in was quick with a nice woman at the front desk. They didn’t offer luggage help automatically, though a gentleman noticed us struggling and came to help.

A really comfortable stay, with fast Wi-Fi and a tasty breakfast. The people here were so nice, especially Chihab, who made sure we had a great time. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive to the busy centre.

The room was fantastic and very clean, and the concierge and staff were so kind and helpful. They really make an effort to ensure you have a special stay.

The pool price kept changing: first I was told it was free, then 150mad, then 100mad. The room window wouldn’t lock, and the towel had already been used, so I had to dry myself with the hair dryer instead. It’s near a busy street. Breakfast was average.
