Pearl Camp Agafay

Dinner was a lot of fun, and the staff helped us with everything we needed. The rooms were a dream, with a great view. Best camp in Agafay desert, 100% recommended.

The setting in the desert is beautiful, with a great view, but hospitality was missing. It felt like the staff didn’t care, perhaps because most guests only come once and stay for one night. We got there around lunchtime and were served tea and crackers, which was nice. After that, nothing was available until dinner at 20:30. When we asked about tea or a small snack in the afternoon, we were told nothing else would be served before dinner. I pointed out the bread in the cooking area, but was told it was for dinner. There was bread left over afterward because there had been too much. I can’t recommend going there.

The luxurious tents were a lovely place to relax, surrounded by peaceful scenery and the Agafay Desert view. The camp has a big, beautiful swimming pool, plus table football and billiards. I loved the quad biking, and camel rides are available too. In the evening, there was a delicious dinner with Berber music, followed by time around a bonfire on the patio below. The whole place has a wonderful Berber atmosphere. Recommended!
