Riad Awa

The location is great and the rooms are nice, but breakfast wasn't good. We were first given a downstairs room with no windows, so we asked to upgrade and paid the difference. The room couldn't be locked from outside, which they said was their system. You have to knock for someone to let you in, even at night. They also asked us to keep quiet and lower our voices, and turned off all the lights. Youssef, though, was very kind and helpful. Thank you, Youssef, and may God bless you with good health.

We had dinner at the riad on our first night because we arrived in Marrakech late. The Moroccan salads, chicken tagine and chocolate mousse were all delicious, and breakfast each morning was just as good. The riad is peaceful and well placed for visiting Marrakech's historic sites. Everyone there looked after us so well, with warmth, friendliness and attention throughout our three-night stay. We'd definitely come back.

The staff were very kind, though they didn't speak English at all. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast area was really comfortable, but it was the same every day. The riad is lovely, with clean, pretty rooms and all the usual comforts. It has traditional character with contemporary looks, and you can get around the Medina and elsewhere on foot. Highly recommended!

My partner and I can't recommend this beautiful riad enough. It's in a safe, tucked-away neighbourhood, and the rooms are very comfortable. We also loved the breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to help us have the kind of holiday we wanted, whether that meant unwinding by the magnificent pool on the roof terrace or heading out to explore the Medina and Marrakech's sights.
