Riad Chayma - Adults Only

The location was handy, close to shops and local restaurants, and not too far from the tourist spots. The rooms were clean, the staff polite, and the stay was pleasant and good value. One disappointment was that our booked airport transfer never happened, so we had to take an airport taxi. Nothing complimentary was offered. Breakfast also started at 8.30, which was too late for us as early risers, so we ended up buying food elsewhere.

The staff, especially Adil, Mohamed and the girls, couldn’t have done more to make our stay pleasant. Riad Chayma is lovely and well located for the Medina, though it does show a little wear here and there, which adds to its charm. We stayed in the Mint room on the ground floor, opening onto the main lobby. Noise from people coming and going was intrusive, and someone in the suite above seemed to stomp around for hours late at night and early in the morning. That’s not something I’d blame on the riad itself. In my opinion, though, it’s in the poorest part of Marrakech, which is worth taking into account when booking.

Hamid’s genuine care and attention to detail are what made our stay stand out. He went out of his way to meet our needs, offered useful recommendations, and worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. We’re very grateful for everything he did. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm hospitality that exceeded our expectations. Chayma Riad is charming and comfortable, and the service Hamid provided made our visit unforgettable. Our time there felt perfect, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return, knowing we’d be welcomed with the same warmth. I highly recommend Chayma Riad and the exceptional care from Hamid. Warm regards.

We stayed at Riad Chayma for three nights with a friend and really enjoyed it. The place was quiet and peaceful, with pretty traditional interiors and great service. Our room and bathroom were always clean, and breakfast was included, served on the rooftop. On our last day, we had a hotel transfer booked for 5PM. Our reservation ended at 11AM, but the staff let us keep using the room for as long as we wanted, which was great. The wifi was a little weak, though it wasn’t a big deal since we were mostly out sightseeing. The one uncomfortable part was the entrance. They didn’t give us a key, so we had to ring or knock each time and wait for a staff member to open the door. It’s on a narrow street, and waiting there at night felt a bit uncomfortable for us as two girls. Still, I’d definitely recommend staying at Riad Chayma.
