Riad Dar Aida

The people working here were incredibly kind, and even the guests were welcoming and happy to socialize. I’d especially recommend this Riad to solo travelers who want to meet people. The hospitality and sense of community felt really special. It’s a beautiful, more traditional place in a great area, and staying there felt a bit like being at your family’s home.

The staff made breakfast really enjoyable, and the host even arranged it for us on checkout morning when we had to leave at 8:30 am to catch our flight. They were so courteous and helpful, and also booked us an airport taxi that was cheaper than arranging one ourselves. They can organize airport transfers as well. The Riad is about a minute from the main Kasbah street, with everyday shops, SIM and print shops, local BBQ spots, cafes, barber shops, and souvenir stores nearby. It’s a lively local area worth experiencing. There were no safety concerns in the Riad or around it, and although the neighborhood stays busy late, the Riad is set back from the main street and wasn’t loud. Locals were polite and helpful. Our flight arrived at 11:30 am, and they let us come in early. We had tea and water downstairs while they got our room ready for the 2 pm check-in. The people running this Riad are some of the friendliest we’ve ever met.

We slept really well in the comfy bed, and the room was spotless and smelled fresh. The shower didn’t seem keen on giving us hot water, though. Breakfast was plentiful, and there are places to eat just a few minutes away. It was such a warm welcome, with a beautiful, peaceful space to come back to in the middle of a hectic, fast-moving city.

Mohammed, the Night Shift Manager, was so kind and helpful. Staying here in the middle of Marrakesh’s old town was a real gem, and it was the best value for money I can remember getting. Thanks for making my stay so lovely and giving me beautiful memories to take home from my trip around kind, colorful, generous Morocco.
