Dar Alhambra Riad Medina

The staff were amazing, and breakfast was the best: homemade pancakes, bread, yoghurt, and fresh fruit, with delicious coffee and tea. I’m sorry we didn’t try dinner, as we hadn’t realized it was available. Thank you!

The owners, a warm French-Danish couple, along with the manager and assistant, made us feel at home. They were helpful without hovering, offered local advice, and even helped in an emergency. For my mother’s birthday, they surprised us with a delicious cake and sang to her, a thoughtful moment we won’t forget. Breakfast was fresh, filling, and tasty, served whenever we were ready on either the peaceful rooftop or charming downstairs patio. Riad Dar Alhambra sits at the edge of the Medina, around a 10-15 minute walk from the main square, markets, and attractions, while still feeling calm and tucked away. With only six rooms, it’s intimate and never felt crowded. The traditional Moroccan decor is lovely, and our spacious, clean room had a charming bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We could hear the call to prayer from a nearby mosque, but that’s part of Marrakech, and you’ll hear it at any riad in the medina. We felt safe, cared for, and relaxed throughout. A real highlight of our Marrakech trip, and I’d return in a heartbeat.

My mum and I had a lovely few days at Riad Dar Alhambra. Inside it was quiet and peaceful, even though the souks and all their bustle were only a five-minute walk away in the heart of the medina. The riad is beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail, and our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely air-conditioned. We especially enjoyed eating on the rooftop terrace, and the meals were very good and made for us. Ismael was attentive and accommodating, helping us plan our time in Marrakech. I’d highly recommend it as a comfortable, stylish place to relax while exploring the city. Thank you!

Ismael was a wonderful host, sharing the places worth seeing and helping arrange a taxi from the airport. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fruit, yoghurt, cheese, bread, pancakes and tea. The rooms were spacious and clean, too. Right in the busy center, yet stepping into the Riad felt peaceful, and the rooftop was a lovely spot for a drink and sunset views over Marrakesh. Absolutely recommend it.
