Riad Dar Silsila Hotel

This place is so noisy. The night management showed no consideration for guests trying to sleep, talking loudly so their voices echoed through the riad. I was unlucky enough to get room 14, right beside the kitchen, where staff banged around at all hours. The service and attitude definitely aren’t 4-star.

There were roaches all over the place, so expect to have some extra guests in your room. The hotel looks nothing like the photos, the AC doesn’t work and it gets boiling hot inside. Apparently the whole place is in a refurbishment that’s been going on for months. I’d strongly suggest avoiding it.

I’d been concerned by recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The riad has completed a huge expansion, so it looks different from the current website photos. The updated rooms and new public spaces are really well done. Abdul and the staff are very kind and will go out of their way to help when you ask.

The room left a lot to be desired, though the terrace and shared spaces were nice. Cockroaches were there when we arrived and still there when we left. Two of the three rooms our group booked had roaches. We asked twice to move after more kept appearing in our bathroom, but were refused.
