Riad Dar Zampa

This Riad is in the northern part of the Medina, around 45 minutes’ walk from the main square through a maze of alleys. Finding your way isn’t easy even with Google Maps, and taxis don’t serve this area.

Dar Zampa felt like home on my first trip to Marrakech. Abdoul was an incredibly welcoming and attentive host, with lots of useful information on where to go and what to do. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated in a Moroccan style, and the free Wi-Fi was stable. I absolutely loved my stay and highly recommend Dar Zampa.

The riad keeps the street noise out and feels very calm, though sounds from other guests or staff can still carry. If you’re sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. My girlfriend and I spent six nights here in a beautiful traditional riad. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and Abdou, the manager, was gentle and sweet, always ready to help with information or requests. It’s in the Medina, quite far north, so markets and restaurants are about a 15-minute walk away. There are also a couple of nice local restaurants closer by.

Everything else was great, and I’d recommend the Riad for a visit to Marrakech. It’s well maintained, in great condition, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. Service was excellent, especially from Abdou, who was friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. Breakfast was very nice and traditional. The Wi-Fi seemed to cut out around midnight, which was a little inconvenient. It can also be hard to find the Riad without a map or navigation.
