That rooftop dinner for two, cooked by the riad’s chef, was a lovely way to end our trip. The Moroccan food was delicious, and we could take our time. The team had also arranged a private day out to the Ourika Valley, with a waterfall climb and a long lunch beside the mountain river. Ilyas and Khalid were wonderful, and everyone was kind and helpful. They sorted our airport rides and gave us great local advice. Riad Enchanté is beautiful and calm, with lovely views from the roof terrace. It’s just a couple of minutes from the Secret Garden and Café Arabe, and the souk is right outside. Inside, it feels peaceful again. We’ve just come back from Marrakech and couldn’t have chosen a better place. We’d return in a heartbeat.

Leaving was the real problem. First the beautiful Riad, then Ilyas and all the things he knows, then his tea, which made me rethink every other drink. And just when I thought that was the highlight, the chef’s dinner showed up. Each part somehow topped the last.

We’d recommend Riad Encente. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was the best, and our room was clean and comfortable. The roof was great for eating, and for us it’s the best riad in the Medina.

The rooftop hot tub was a lovely bonus. You just need to give the staff an hour’s notice. The room was clean and roomy enough for two, and we had no drain smell. I think there are six rooms, one in the courtyard and five upstairs. One thing to know is that there’s only a curtain between the room and toilet. We got used to it, though a proper door would be ideal. There are no outside-facing windows, which I think is common for riads. We worked out how to get good airflow at night with the AC on and a window open. If you need total privacy from other guests, a large hotel outside the center may suit you better, but you’d miss the distinctive inner courtyards and fountains. Breakfast on the roof was a treat each morning: Moroccan tea or coffee, different fresh breads, eggs made how you like, fruit, and homemade yoghurt that was unreal. The tomato tart one day was incredible. We didn’t have dinner there, since you need to ask in the morning, so keep that in mind if you want a meal on arrival. When we had an early start for a trip outside Marrakech, they packed breakfast snacks for us, which we really appreciated. The riad is a quiet little retreat even though it’s close to the souks, Jardin Secret, spas including WA spa, and restaurants and bars. Book restaurants ahead, even outside high season, since walk-in tables are hard to get. The main square is a short walk away. Taxis can’t reach the riad itself, so ours dropped us near the Dar El Bacha museum, then it was about a seven-minute walk, easy enough with Google Maps. It’s a brilliant base for seeing the city. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and Marrakech was incredible, everyone we met was kind. A trip we won’t forget. Thank you Riad Enchanté ❤️

We found the small inner courtyard especially atmospheric, and the riad is close to the main sights around Marrakesh, though it can be tricky to spot at first. Our stay at Riad Enchanté was very comfortable. The room was spotless and spacious enough for two, and both breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious. Service stayed friendly and attentive throughout our vacation. Definitely recommended.
