Riad Maison Arabo-Andalouse

We split our trip between five nights here at the start and two at the end, and it really felt like home. Even arriving after dark was easy, as someone met us at the taxi drop-off, carried our bags, and guided us to the riad. It’s inside the medina, but the walk from the drop-off wasn’t too long. Houdaifa was a great communicator, answered our many questions, and kept the kids entertained with his recommendations and chats. The rest of the staff were just as helpful. The building is gorgeous, with beautiful architecture and tilework, and our room had plenty of space for our family of four. There were heaters in every room. We went up to the rooftop a few times in the daytime to take in the view and spot storks, then again at night to look at the stars. December and January were too chilly for our Florida blood to linger up there, though. We loved our stay and hope to come back to Marrakech.

The dinners here were the best meals we had in Marrakech, by a long way. I wish we’d tried one during our first couple of nights instead of waiting. The breakfasts were spot on too, and the place is quiet despite being close to the main bustle. We loved having a patio room, where we could lie in the sun in the afternoon and get a break from the city. The owner also arranged a spectacular trip into the mountains for us. The place is awesome, so go ahead and book.

Our five nights here were unforgettable. The rooms had a special feel, with cool decor, and everything was clean. Breakfast was delicious too. Mohammed really made the stay: he shared helpful tips on food and shopping, and chatting with him gave us a lovely sense of local life. A truly special riad, highly recommend.

Houdaifa and the whole team did so much to make us feel at home. A heartfelt thank you to all of them. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend it.
