The property is tastefully designed and decorated, but my stay was badly affected by the night-shift employee who called himself "Mohammad". We checked in during the day, and the daytime receptionist was very nice. She showed us the rooms and gave us a quick introduction to the neighbourhood. After a day of tourist activities, we returned and "Mohammad" insisted that I pay him in cash immediately. I wanted to use my card if payment had to happen right then, but he kept saying it had to be cash and had to be now. I had no cash, so he rudely pointed me to the nearest cash machine, a 10-minute walk from the Riad. I had to make that walk at 10 PM after an exhausting day. It completely ruined my experience. My stay was on June 28, so I've had a long time to think about it. I still wanted to post this review because the employee's behaviour made it such a bad experience.

Riad l'Escale was just what we wanted, a place away from the Medina. There was plenty of parking, the rooms were beautiful and clean, and the breakfast and service were wonderful. Since it wasn't a busy time, they let us take our time checking out. A great spot to relax.

It's a gorgeous property with great staff and food. The place feels away from the city's hustle and bustle but is still close enough to get everywhere easily. They did charge us extra for eggs, which seemed strange since breakfast was included. Even so, the property and staff were great.

I booked through booking.com just two hours before arriving at night, and there was no problem getting a room at midnight. I stayed for two nights during november 2024. The rooms were clean and quiet, the atmosphere friendly, and it felt like a small family hotel. I think people who leave bad reviews because they had to pay extra for something they ordered are being unfair. If they can't afford it, they can choose a cheaper hotel instead of disrespecting the whole place.

We spent one night here, from 05.10.2025 to 06.10.2025, with a friend. Taric welcomed us warmly and was a big help with advice for our trip around Morocco. Breakfast was included, the room was clean, and it had a shower and everything we needed. I’d recommend staying here.
