Riad Laksiba

We asked the host one evening where to try the 1000 holes pancakes, the traditional Moroccan pancake, and the next morning they surprised us with some. That kind of thoughtfulness summed up the stay. They were warm, accommodating, and helped with whatever we needed, so it felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. The place has a calm, authentic feel. I also liked that it wasn’t right by the main square, which made it quieter. The upper terrace is lovely and definitely worth trying. I’d stay here again.

The riad was quiet at night, so we slept well, and breakfast was excellent. Hassan was a great host. He welcomed us late without any trouble, shared food recommendations, practical tips, and some cultural insights, always with a smile and a friendly manner. Ramadan Mubarak to him and all the personnel. The location may feel a little far out if you don’t like walking, but we enjoyed exploring the Medina and finding new places along the way. We had a lovely stay and would recommend booking if you’re deciding.

We stayed for seven days and the calm, clean, well designed Riad Laksiba started to feel like home. Breakfast was great too. The two women and two night staff members were all really friendly and accommodating.

The owner is lovely, and I was lucky enough to meet him on another visit about 10 years ago. The boys working at the riad are lovely too and do their best. But the current manager overcharged us badly for a meal and taxis. I’d be very careful about booking anything through the riad.
