We hadn’t actually booked a stay at Riad Le Grizzly. Our accommodation was next door, but nobody was there when we arrived, so we knocked to ask if we could use the wifi. When we explained what had happened, Ibrahim and his wife, whose name I’m sorry I didn’t get, immediately invited us in, sat us down, and offered to call someone from our riad. They were so welcoming and helpful even during that short encounter. I’m sure guests staying with them would have a very pleasant time.

The rooms and whole property, including the pool, were very clean and in good condition. Staff such as Youssef were helpful with planning and arranging tours. The riad sits in a nice, quiet spot amid original surroundings, with the central square just a few minutes’ walk away. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I’d highly recommend it.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the centre, and the staff are lovely. The riad is beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more lighting, as our room felt somewhat dark.

They cancelled our reservation five days before check-in and claimed that we had cancelled it. I’m sure they bumped us for another reservation with a longer stay. Liars! Please don’t stay here or encourage this kind of behavior. As other reviewers have said, making money seems to matter more to them than their guests.

I left feeling threatened and worried that my holiday had nearly been ruined. Money went missing from my room, and they charged me an exorbitant extra amount in cash and then again on my card. The positive reviews seem fake to me. Stay away. I expect them to respond in a threatening manner!
