We had a really enjoyable stay. Raja and Yousef were very helpful, and I'd recommend Raja’s breakfast and dinner. The Riad is beautiful, clean, peaceful, and good value. Since it's tucked away, it was difficult to find the first time, but Google maps got us there, as seems typical for riads. The area felt safe, was well lit at night, and had local homes, other Riads, and a night watchman nearby. There's a nice rooftop terrace, with lots of cute cats on the roof.

Birdsong was a lovely way to wake up at this beautiful place. It has a real sense of history, comfortable spacious rooms, air conditioning, and a nice roof terrace. Everything was pristine, and breakfast was generous. It's tucked away from the noisy, busy souks and tourists, but still central: a 12-minute walk from the main square and six minutes from Ben Yousef Madrasa. Google maps made it easy to find, and locals can help too. There's a night watchman in the little neighborhood, and as a woman I felt perfectly safe coming back alone, even after 11 pm.

Service was very friendly, and they put together a nice breakfast. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a bottle of water waiting. The bathroom was clean and good, though there wasn't an easy place for suitcases. It can be a bit hard to find, and the streets leading there aren't always very clean.

Getting to the riad was difficult, and the route was dark and dirty. I didn't feel safe going there or coming back. The room itself was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

The owners were very friendly, and the price was good. Breakfast was good too, and it was a 15-minute walk to the main square. The room was very spacious, but cold at night because the heating wasn't working properly. There was no water or dressing gown in the room as described on the booking page. Part of the walk back at night had no streetlights and felt dodgy, though I got used to it. A spider stayed on the bathroom ceiling throughout my stay, even though the room was cleaned daily.
