Riad Mariana

The Hammam with Rashida was a real highlight. She’s so skilled and experienced, it was the best Hammam I’ve ever had, and I’d come back for it. Belinda and Abdul looked after us from the start, and the riad felt cozy and homey rather than like a polished, formal hotel. We arrived before check-in and were warmly welcomed, with no problem leaving our luggage. For our anniversary, they decorated the room with rose petals and a fruit platter, arranged a last-minute dinner reservation, and Belinda thoughtfully told the restaurant it was our anniversary. On the morning itself, Belinda, Abdul, and Samira made us a lovely breakfast by the pool, again with rose petals. The poolside communal area became our favorite place to relax. Breakfast was simple and fresh, all made in-house, including the jam. It may feel basic if you want a luxurious hotel-style breakfast, but we appreciated the homemade quality. Samira cooked us dinner at the riad too; it was delicious, though a little pricey compared with street food, and worth it for the quality and flavors. Riad Marina felt like a home away from home, thanks to a team who really care. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a personal, cozy stay in Morocco.

Abdul and Belinda were especially friendly and always ready to help. The staff were kind and attentive throughout our stay at Riad Mariana in Marrakesh, which felt warm and welcoming, like home. We also had a Hammam bath with Rashida and really appreciated her care and effort. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely come back.

We planned to stay one night, but liked it enough to extend to three. The riad was clean, well equipped, and beautifully decorated, just as described. The staff were excellent and helped with everything, from setting up an extra bed for our 4-year-old daughter to making us a special tajine. We’d definitely stay again.

It was a bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’d agreed with the owner that we would move to another hotel on the last day, but after only three days she told us to pack and moved us elsewhere without warning. When we asked about breakfast, she said we were late and refused to serve it, although it was very minimal anyway: butter, bread, a glass of juice, and tea. She also arranged an airport taxi for €60, while a regular taxi would have cost just €15.
