This is the worst Riad I've stayed in in Marrakesh. The shower was broken, the AC didn't cool, and the breakfast wasn't good. When I complained, I was told the owner didn't want to spend money on maintenance. I don't know who the owner is: Awwad says it's a Spanish owner living in Spain, but his staff say Awwad is the owner. The Riad is around 25 minutes from Jema El Fenaa, and I didn't feel safe there, especially at night. Kids would follow me and ask for money even though I knew the way back to the Riad. During my six-day stay, the bedding and towels weren't changed. The pillows were in bad shape and dirty. Have a look at the pictures.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and there was a lovely rooftop terrace. I wish we'd been able to stay the whole week we planned. My partner had a passport problem at customs in Marrakech airport, so our trip was cut short and I reached the Riad very late. The owner welcomed me warmly, offered food and drinks despite the hour, then arranged breakfast and helped me get a taxi back to the airport in the morning without my even asking. Without his help, I would have been stranded and unsure how to get home. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The hygiene was zero. The room was tiny, the furniture uncomfortable, dust was everywhere, and the shower smelled awful. The bed looked as if it hadn't been washed in months. No internet or air conditioning, and the food was bad. Breakfast was mostly bread and not really edible. Manager (Aouad) took money from us and promised to return it, but never did. We wasted a whole day waiting for him, then he left us with the cleaning staff. This place should be shut down for health and safety.

We left and found somewhere else because we felt too unsafe. The Riad sits among four dark dead ends, and only two lead to the property. It's a maze. The owner pointed us to a child guide to reach the city center, who demanded money and decided whether the tip was enough. If it wasn't, he screamed in the street and later waited at the riad to ask for more. Getting back at night felt like a horror movie: we got lost repeatedly, and several people tried to grab us and steer us toward unlit dead ends. There were piles of trash nearby that smelled bad. The rooms might have been okay, but they weren't clean. There was dust, dirty bedding, one sheet had little blood marks, and long hairs between the sheets and mattress. The floor was dirty, the shower was broken, there was no hot water, and we had to ask for toilet paper. Around 5am, the owner woke us by shouting in a heated argument with someone. The swimming pool doesn't exist, and the rooftop entrance is locked. Don't book this place.

We didn't stay because the room and bathroom were poor, and found a place right on the square, close to everything we needed. This Riad is tucked among back alleys and shady side streets. The signal was weak, so Google Maps was no help. Local kids offered directions, but wanted payment and seemed to take twice as long to get a bigger tip. The host understood why we left, but wouldn't refund the hotel tax.
