Riad Nora

The manager’s attitude took the shine off what could have been a lovely stay. When our child got sick, we asked for a simple lentil soup and were shocked to be charged €21. I’ve paid less for soup even in New York City! When we questioned the price, the manager defended it without any apology. Billing was another problem: tax was added to every item, including airport pickup, and we were charged city tax for our two-year-old. When we asked about that, they blamed Booking.com. We enjoyed our final day in Marrakesh at another riad just next door, but we won’t return to Riad Nora. There were good points. The riad is beautiful, spacious, well maintained, and comfortable for a family. We arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed with a delicious dinner cooked by their local cook in the kitchen. We stayed four nights, with a short break in between, and they let us leave our luggage while we were away, which was very convenient. Breakfast was good, with plenty of options.

We wanted a traditional riad for our first visit to Morocco, and Riad Nora lived up to that. It was cute, quaint, and cozy. The staff made an even bigger impression: they were caring and so helpful, making sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed throughout our stay. Thanks to the team, especially Aziz and Mohammed, for taking such good care of us.

The location was just right, tucked into the medina but still a short walk from places like Bahia Palace and Jemaa el-Fnaa. Everything here felt perfect, from the warm welcome and Moroccan hospitality that made me feel at home to the friendly, attentive staff. They were always happy to help with directions, excursion bookings, or local tips. Riad Nora has lovely, authentic architecture, peaceful courtyards, and a rooftop terrace with nice views over the medina. The building is beautifully restored, and my room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. It felt like a tranquil escape from Marrakech’s busy streets. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and carefully served in the courtyard, a lovely way to begin each day. I had a memorable, relaxing stay and can’t recommend Riad Nora enough. I’ll definitely be back!
