It was over 40 degrees, so having a cool dip in the pool and AC felt heavenly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning in each bedroom. Service was outstanding, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The place is only 12 minutes from the airport. The owner arranged transfers for us, including a 3 a.m. pickup, which made everything hassle-free.

The staff at Riad Shemsi were fabulous and really helpful in putting us in touch with our local guide. We stayed for one night when we first reached Morocco, before heading to the Atlas Mountains. The place was cute and clean, with classic decor and a pool, and the location was great. We wished we could have come back, but we’d already booked another riad that we liked much less.

After a really unpleasant stay at Atlas Widan Hotel, we came here and had a completely different experience. Riad Shemsi felt like a calm oasis in a chaotic city. The staff were warm, gentle, and discreet, and the guest service was exemplary. Highly recommended.

This small riad is peaceful and sits in a very nice neighborhood inside the Medina of Marrakesh. The rooms were nice and clean, and both the service and food were excellent. Abdallah and Rachid were always available and very helpful. If you’re driving, Café Clock is a useful landmark near the riad. Call the guys about ten minutes before you arrive and they’ll wait for you there and help with your suitcases. Parking is at most a ten-minute walk away, and the guys will take you there. It was a very nice experience. Thank you, guys.
