Riad Zara

Riad Zara felt peaceful and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Shijia and her sister Alice made me feel like family. Shijia pays close attention to detail, and Alice is always ready to help or have a friendly chat. Together they made the stay feel warm and personal. The meals were a real pleasure, from Moroccan tagine and fresh salad to breakfast pastries, fruit, and aromatic coffee on the terrace. Shijia and Alice also suggested their favorite dishes and made sure meals suited my preferences. The riad’s design is beautiful, mixing Moroccan tradition with modern touches. There are carved wooden doors, mosaic tiles, a leafy courtyard with a fountain, and a rooftop with wide city views. It was lovely to unwind there, lounge by the pool, or sip mint tea in the courtyard. Everything felt thoughtfully put together, and the calm atmosphere made it easy to slow down. Riad Zara is a destination in itself, and the hosts’ care shows in every detail. It’s the best place I’ve ever stayed, and I can’t wait to return. The people working at the riad were kind and always ready to help, and it’s a quiet, lovely place to relax. The location inside the Medina is great, though as backpackers we found it a little difficult to get a taxi back to the airport or continue our trip. Sirin, this is the right place to book if you want to unwind in Marrakesh.

We had a great time at Riad Zara. It’s a beautiful, cozy place, the room was spotless, and breakfast each morning was fantastic. Monique was a great host, helping us arrange taxis and activities and sharing useful advice throughout our stay.

Monique was always ready to help, and her advice on what to do and avoid in Marrakech guided our trip. She even gave us an Arabic lesson so we’d know a few basics for communicating as tourists. The food was delicious and homemade. The place is beautiful and comfortable, with a room that was always clean and well stocked with what we needed. It has a nice balance between a hotel and a family home. Monique is strict about the riad’s rules, so it suits you if you want a quiet family stay. If you’re after a more lively, active party experience, this isn’t the place.
