With my bus due in about 90 minutes, I found out at 6:30 PM that my same-day room booking had been cancelled. Nobody contacted me first, so I had to look up the phone number myself to learn what was going on. They mentioned maintenance problems with the lights and lockers. I also spent a long time sorting out the deposit payment with the booking platform, and the host didn’t help with that. I wish I’d booked somewhere else and avoided the stress of a last-minute cancellation.

Cats spent the day hanging out in my room, and the beds were comfy. The owner was super relaxed and gave us breakfast every morning. It’s right by the dunes, on the main strip with loads of restaurants nearby. Coolest hostel ever, 11/10 🐈🐈⬛

Hassan arranged a three-night guided camel trip for me on my own. It was a wonderful time among the dunes and with Nomad people. I’d recommend it if you’re after an authentic, wild desert trip.

We paid just 100 MAD for a night and a half, so it was very cheap. Hassan was the best host, really helpful with whatever we needed. It’s a social place, with tea several times a day as well as breakfast and dinner.

I loved the art on the walls, left behind by past guests. It gives the hostel the feel of a home base for intrepid explorers. Hassan was a great host and knew the best spots around town for desert views and local food. Breakfast is included too, which is a dream. It’s a perfect budget stay for a traveller wanting to experience this gem. Thanks again.
