Hotel La Perle Du Sud

The Wi-Fi was terrible for such a big hotel. Our room faced the pool, where people were shouting until after 3 a.m. We were on a tour and had an early pickup. I called the desk, but it didn’t stop. I shouted out the window and it quieted down for a bit, then started again.

Our stay was good, though the nightclub next door wasn’t open while we were there, which may explain why it was quiet. I’ve seen plenty of poor reviews mentioning noise and tatty conditions. If you stay, always ask for a room at the far end, away from the nightclub.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were great. But the food was mediocre at best. The chicken was so dried out that I couldn’t cut it with a knife. The nice rooms had an echo throughout the building. We could hear people opening their doors and even furniture being moved in the restaurant two floors up.

The one good thing is how close it is to a market. The hotel is on a busy street, though, so the traffic noise never lets up, and the rooms are old and dirty. I had to ask for fresh sheets because it was obvious the ones on the bed had been used. The food was almost inedible.
