The best part of the stay was the lovely breakfast in the breakfast room, and the concierge, bellhop and front-desk manager were lovely too. The rest of the hotel felt eerie, like checking into The Shining: dark, quiet and dilapidated, with chipped paint, rusty faucet fixtures, worn-out towels and dated rooms that badly need touch-ups. “The spa” also felt rundown and unsanitary. I know this is a random stop in Morocco, but it shouldn’t be advertised as a 5-star hotel, and the photos are very misleading.

The Egyptian-style concept was amazing, and our room was spacious and super clean. Omar served us a tasty dinner. I’ll go back again.

Fun movie-themed hotel, though it was cold. One morning, the shower gave us only a few drops of hot water.

We were glad we stayed, though we were also glad to move on. The place grew on us, especially once we changed rooms, since some are outdated. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. It’s a small guest house without a restaurant, but you can order food. There was a bar, though it wasn’t being used, and no guest hub, so the atmosphere was up to us to make. It’s a good 25-minute walk to the centre, with not much nearby on foot. If you want peace and quiet, it suits you; we would have preferred somewhere more central and lively. I’d like to thank the staff for making our stay.
