Hotel Rose Valley

The rooms are on the small side, but ours had a fairly comfortable bed, a decent ensuite bathroom and a mini fridge. The bigger issue was the noise: sound carried through the building, and we could hear staff getting breakfast ready, guests packing and leaving, doors banging, dogs barking outside at night and traffic. The windows didn’t keep the noise out. Dinner from the buffet was bland, and breakfast was okay, but there were no gluten-free breads, pancakes or cereals, so the choices weren’t good for someone who needs gluten-free food. This was a stop on our three-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakesh, which was supposed to be luxury. I found the hotel very average and wouldn’t choose it myself.

The location was a real plus, right beside Ourzazate Bus Station and close to plenty of places to eat and shop. There’s also a panoramic terrace on the fourth floor. I stayed as part of an organized tour, and the room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with the essentials. The bed was comfy, and the buffet breakfast had plenty of tasty hot food. I’d recommend staying here. Merci!!

The food was average, but the service was awful. The buffet was meant to start at 7:00 PM. I arrived at 7:05 PM and was told it wasn’t ready yet, and to come back in ten minutes. That was fine. Then, at about 8:00 PM, a staff member sarcastically asked if I was still eating. Two minutes later he said I’d been at the table too long and that he “needed the table,” tapping it and repeating “Quick, quick, quick!” to hurry me out. The restaurant was half empty, with plenty of open tables. Being rushed and treated disrespectfully like that was completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place because of the terrible service.

The reception staff made me feel very welcome, with warm and professional service. I had a wonderful night at Rose Valley Hotel. My room was clean and comfortable, and I really appreciated the hospitality. Thank you very much
