Riad Razoli Sidi Daoui

After booking through expedia, we arrived and were told to wait for someone who spoke English. A young man came out after 40 minutes and tried to help, but seemed to be stalling. His phone rang, and he handed it to me so I could speak to the owner. She first argued that we had no reservation, even though I had the expedia confirmation and wasn't leaving without either a refund or a room. After more than an hour, she suddenly found the booking and demanded direct payment. Expedia had already taken payment, so I refused to pay again. We argued for another hour. She then confirmed she'd received the payment and had always had the booking, but said there was no room because they were overbooked. By then I'd lost my patience. After all that, they said they'd put us in a nearby apartment for the night. We'd been sitting there for four hours and it was 8pm, so we had little choice but to accept. They drove us 20 minutes out of town to an apartment block on a dark, dodgy street. The driver led us upstairs and knocked on the door. An elderly French couple answered. We realized we were being given a mattress on the floor in a two-room apartment for the night. The couple said it wasn't their home either, they'd been driven there because the same resort they'd booked with was overbooked. It was clearly someone's home: food in the fridge, dishes in the sink, clothes in the bathroom. There was no TV or anything within walking distance, and metal shutters on the windows left us confined to a bedroom until morning. Expedia has refused a refund even though we never stayed at the resort we'd booked. Avoid riad razoli!

The rooms were really clean and tidy, and the food tasted great. I definitely recommend it 😍

A lovely place to stay. The hosts are wonderful and really go out of their way for you.
