Martine was so thoughtful, even bringing us bed bottles that helped us get to sleep. Staying right by the water was a treat: we could wade barefoot in the bubbling river, with no need to leave the area to enjoy it. We also spotted two Barbary macaques doing gymnastics nearby. Martine was glad to answer our questions about the area, and we'd happily recommend the place.

I visited in August 2024, and Martine, who runs Au Board de l'Eau, was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The garden was such a relaxing spot, with breakfast served outside overlooking the river. The rooms were clean, cosy, and comfortable, and it was handy for the riverside restaurants and the 7 Cascades hike. Very highly recommended.

We made our way from Marrakesh by public transport instead of taking the day tour to Ourike, and spending a night here turned out to be the best choice. It was our best experience in Morocco so far. From the porch you get river and mountain views, and the place feels surrounded by nature while still being clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent, and Martine was the nicest host, along with her lovely dog.

The standout here is Martine. She looked after us like a mum, sharing lots of tips for hikes and places to eat nearby, and serving a tasty breakfast with our feet in the water. The cosy, comfortable rooms add to the five star hotel feeling, whether you're travelling alone, as a couple, or with a small family. You can stand in the ourika river and not hear a single car.

Breakfast was delicious, and Martine is a really nice owner. The place has river and mountain views with a bit of a jungle feel, and it's the best place to stay in the valley, about 1km from cascades.
