I stayed for a couple of days in March during my yoga retreat, and Dar Basma felt more like visiting a family than being a hotel guest. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and arranged transfers since it's a long way from the center of Marakesh. The surroundings are beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and the people working there are lovely and always smiling. The meals made there were delicious, probably the best I had in Marocco, and they adjusted them for vegetarians. It's an ideal place to get a break from the city's bustle.

Getting there is really difficult. The road between Marrakech and Dar Basma is hard to travel, but once you reach the place, it feels like a haven.

The location, setting, and rooms were all lovely, but the team is what made our stay at Dar Basma unforgettable. From arrival, Mohamed, Naima, and everyone else greeted us warmly and gave us personal attention. They were kind, professional, and always ready to answer questions with a smile. They helped organize excursions, made a delicious breakfast, and made time for friendly conversation. It felt like being at home, with the understated luxury of a peaceful retreat. Huge thanks for such a magical stay. We left with so many memories and already want to come back soon.

The suites are beautifully decorated, the beds are top-notch, and everything is spotless. We also loved the spacious pool for relaxing with a little mint tea, the lovely decor in the indoor lounges, and the outdoor sitting area with its magical view of the Atlas Mountains. It's an invitation to enjoy the Moroccan way of life. We had a dream week at Dar Basma with the children. Patricia and Dany welcomed us warmly and helped us plan the week from day one. Their suggestions were excellent, and we felt looked after all week. Mohamed took such good care of us, everyone was adorable, and Naïma's cooking was a real pleasure. Time goes by far too fast in this little piece of paradise, and that's my only regret. The property is magnificent, and the staff keep finding ways to make each day even more enjoyable. Wonderful!
