The food was incredible, especially the lamb with prunes, made with so much generosity and care. Even the dogs added to the charm, and waking up to those gorgeous mountain views made it all the more special. Yahia welcomed us from the start like family, not guests. We spent long evenings talking, singing, listening to music, and hearing life stories that really inspired us. Our stay at this auberge in Ourika became a beautiful human experience we’ll always remember.

Juliet cooked us a couple of huge, delicious dinners, mixing traditional Moroccan dishes with Greek and French flavors and telling us about their history. We left with lovely memories and a very distinctive experience. Thank you, Juliet and Yahia. We stayed six nights during a cold winter spell and had sunshine, fresh snow, and rain. The location made it easy to explore higher up the mountain by car, or simply walk from the door to the village, river, or further up the mountains. That was especially handy with our four-year-old. We didn’t get to make full use of the rooftop seating and dining areas because of the weather. Before we arrived, Juliet was clear about what to expect: there’s no heat, it isn’t a luxury hotel, and it’s a five-minute uphill walk from the parking area to the house. That was useful to know, and we found the price very reasonable. Juliet is personable and welcomed us into her and Yahia’s home for a chat, a fire, or questions, while also respecting our privacy when we wanted it.

A peaceful spot in the Ourika Valley, with a lovely mountain feel and a cozy, authentic setting. It was clean and comfortable, and made it easy to switch off and enjoy some quiet. The blankets were warm and there was hot water. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for tranquility.

The peaceful mountain views gave this place a special kind of magic. We shared good food, music, laughter, and long conversations that went late into the night. Yahia was warm and open, taking time to connect, offer advice, and share stories and wisdom from his life. An unforgettable stay in Ourika, full of soul and authenticity.

The traditional food was delicious, and we shared sincere conversations and meals in an auberge that felt warm and full of heart. Yahia looked after us like close friends, always caring and attentive. Even the dogs brought life to the place. With the mountains right in front of us and warm evenings, it was a beautiful experience. If you’re after Moroccan hospitality that feels real, this is the place.
