The one positive I can take away is that a horrible experience is better when it’s inexpensive. We paid for two nights, but left at the crack of dawn after the first. Compare the photos from their advertisement with the photos from our one-day stay. The pictures were taken during the day, “reflecting” the light. In reality it’s very dark, with harsh fluorescent lights. See photos from 15 September 2024. Rooms: there is no option to leave no stars. Service: a receptionist photocopies your passports and gives you the keys. Location: on a noisy, polluted street above a busy gas station. I wouldn’t disrespect a brothel by comparing this “palace” to one. They have much better lighting.

The Moroccan-style room was nice, and the receptionist was friendly. But since this is an Aparthotel, I expected to be able to cook without bringing or buying a whole household. The equipment provided was unusable or simply missing. It’s right on a major road, not far from the main train station, which is a big plus. On weekend nights the road turns into a party mile, which we didn’t enjoy. Jemaa el-fna is about a 20-minute walk away, or a quick, very cheap taxi ride.

The hotel is well situated, the apartments are clean, and the staff are lovely. The only issue is that there’s no parking.
