Hotel Rembrandt

We were close to both the medina and town, and the service was fantastic. The restaurant staff were friendly and professional, so I'd suggest having dinner there. If you're driving, there's parking in front of the hotel or in the lot beside it.

There was plenty to do on site, including several restaurants and bars, a pool for good weather, and a lovely live show on Saturday. We had a great stay and I'd come back. The room was clean and spacious, with a window that opens for fresh air and a roomy bathroom stocked with toiletries. The front desk staff were kind and helped us at check-in and with questions about things to do nearby. One small thing, the walls are really thin, lol.

The bed was very comfortable, and there was lots of closet space and hooks, plus a kettle, fridge, cups and coffee in the room. No tea, though. The shower looks beautiful, but it takes a long time for the hot water to come through. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and has plenty of hot and cold choices, though quality doesn't quite match the quantity. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was fantastic. We had salmon, and both the presentation and quality stood out. Getting around was easy, with the Kasbah a walk one way and the municipal Beach and marina the other. Our street-facing room, above the road, was noisy with the windows open but quiet once they were shut. Friends at the back had a Seaview and heard loud Disco music at night, while we didn't hear it. We couldn't work out the heating and cooling system, but the room stayed at a comfortable temperature anyway. The retro elevator was fun.

The dining area and the spot for photos have lovely views. The hotel dates from the 1950s and has been updated a few times. Some of that shows in places, though it still looks lovely. Our room faced the street and was quiet. Our friends had an Ocean view and could hear loud music late into the night. When booking, check the noise and music situation.
