We went in early February, when it got down to about 8°C at night, and were warm enough in the room. It had air conditioning for heat, and they gave us warm blankets. The rooms are basic but have what you need, and felt perfectly fine for the price. This is a lovely family-run guesthouse. Our host gave us a warm welcome, took time to chat when we arrived, and made us feel at home straight away. Parking is available, and having a donkey carry our luggage from the parking area to the guesthouse was a charming, unusual touch. Dinner was authentic and delicious, the best tajine we had in Morocco. Breakfast was excellent too, with a generous selection.

The gorge trail starts right at the guest house, and we had a gorgeous hike. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything worked, the owner was reliable and welcoming, and the food he cooked for us was delicious.

We felt so comfortable and loved the peace in the area, so we stayed longer than planned. The friendly, helpful owners and staff made the place feel like a home away from home. Breakfast, tea, snacks, and dinner were provided, all delicious and served in generous portions. Our room was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. Jack the donkey helped carry our luggage, too. We’d happily stay again and again. Thanks, guys!

Having breakfast on the balcony was a highlight, and Jacque helped us carry our bags up. The guest house sits in a calm spot by the oasis, with wonderful staff. It’s right by the road, and combines Western comfort with very typical decor and food. A fantastic stay.

The guest house is right on the edge of the palmeraie, with hikes of all lengths starting nearby. We walked to the Todra gorge, though the morning route through the palmeraie was even better than reaching the gorge itself. It’s also an easy walk over the river and through the palmeraie to the abandoned Kasbah. We stayed two nights and had the now famous Kefta Tajine both evenings, the best in Morocco. The hosts made us feel so welcome and looked after us, and their food was the standout.
