The dinner voucher from our children promised a romantic evening at Hotel Manhattan, but the experience was a letdown from the start. We had a reservation and still waited nearly 15 minutes in the lobby. The room was old and poorly maintained, with electric candles, artificial flowers, and cracked leather walls. There was nothing romantic about it. The food had been ordered from another restaurant the day before and reheated. Salad, the main course, and cheesecake all arrived together, then nobody checked on us for 30 minutes. Even the mineral water came in plastic bottles, which didn’t suit a supposedly romantic dinner. The atmosphere was cold, and there was no service to speak of. It didn’t resemble what was advertised, and at 150 Euro for two, it wasn’t worth even 20% of what we paid. Very disappointing, I don’t recommend it.

Manhattan had a really comfortable, cozy atmosphere. I’d recommend it for a family break or a business trip. There’s a tasty, healthy breakfast waiting each morning 🫶

The room felt like a comfortable little retreat, with plush bedding, lovely views, and modern amenities. Everything seemed arranged with comfort and convenience in mind. The staff also made the stay memorable. Everyone was friendly and attentive, from the concierge with helpful recommendations to housekeeping, whose attention to detail was excellent. They went out of their way to help. We knew it would be a special stay as soon as we walked into the grand lobby. Its elegant decor and warm feel set the tone.

The rooms are neat and smell good, and what you see in the pictures is what you get. The staff are friendly, calm, and lovely, and the receptionist was well behaved. Manhattan hotel deserves the stars I’m giving it. If you’re traveling to Chisinau, please visit. I promise you won’t regret it.

The staff were friendly and helpful any time, day or night, and the accommodations were clean and nice. There’s a very cute blond lady who keeps you informed, and the place is informative and exciting. Prices are reasonable, with different events and tours available. Had a beautiful time here and would definitely come back when I’m in Moldova.
