My husband had paid in advance for a room through Expedia, but when he arrived in the middle of the night, the hotel refused to check him in and demanded another payment at a higher price, an extra 100£. He showed proof that he’d paid Expedia, but they ignored it and told him to pay their price or leave at 3 am. The next day I spoke with Anton, who said he was a manager. He wasn’t helpful and had apparently decided to raise the price out of nowhere. When we asked why the Expedia payment was ignored, he said, "I don’t know to whom you paid". The hotel has a contract with Expedia but doesn’t respect it or the contract terms. They cheat people. We’ll never stay here, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The hotel's interior style isn't really my thing, but that's personal taste. It's in a quiet quarter of Chişenău, a short walk from the city center, and the rooms were clean for a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was very good. A good place to stay.
