Birds singing in the garden made for especially peaceful mornings, and the restaurant seemed popular with locals. It’s a charming historic place, with a huge inner garden and rooms full of character. Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff kindly took care of our requests. By local standards it’s a little costly, though the atmosphere makes the place feel special. A lovely stay if you enjoy history, greenery, room to spread out, and quiet.

Our waiter Tudor spoke excellent English and was attentive, polite, and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the homemade glass of red wine was heavenly. It’s a very nice restaurant in a picturesque spot beside the river. I imagine sitting outside with a glass of wine would be wonderful in summer. Tudor is highly recommendable!

We had a really nice time here. In the shade outside by the river, it must be especially pleasant in hot weather. I had chicken soup, zeama, and cottage cheese pastries, plăcinte. Both were really good.

The service was flawless, and the traditional food was delicious at very reasonable prices. The restaurant terrace is spacious, with a choice of sitting by the river or taking in the stunning mountain view. It’s a beautiful hotel just below the monastery, with a wonderful view from the restaurant.
