The best part of my stay was the restaurant and meal area. The guys serving breakfast and dinner were polite, respectful, cheerful, and smiling. Even the kitchen staff had the same good vibe when they came out to refill the dishes. I had a great time at the restaurant. Big credit to all of them, that part felt like a completely different place from the rest of the hotel. I was there on a business trip a week ago, and the problems elsewhere were constant. The spa section didn't work at all. In my room, the closet had two sections with sliding doors, but one was jammed shut, so I couldn't put my shirts on hangers or store my other things. I had to keep everything in my suitcase, which wrinkled my clothes and meant I needed an iron. The left bed lamp was dead. There was yellow mold in the bathroom floor corners, and the bathroom windows couldn't be opened. After showering, moisture smelled strongly of mold. The room windows only opened a few inches, so I had to keep the AC on to breathe recycled air. The fridge didn't work, so I couldn't chill water or Coke. The shower also drained too slowly and flooded almost at once, within two minutes. I reported the room problems at reception, but the tall woman with dark hair didn't seem surprised or interested. Empathy 0. Nothing was fixed during my stay, and I didn't even get an apology. She was rude and very unprofessional. When I first needed an iron, she didn't know where it was, so I had to find it with help from another staff lady. The second day, when I asked for it again, she called someone and said in front of me, "Dje pegla, ovi se ovdje samo peglaju." She knew I could understand her and didn't care. That was the rudest and most disrespectful behavior toward guests I've ever seen or experienced. That kind of behavior belongs on the street. She went to the first floor to look for it and still didn't find it. The hotel has only one iron, with tape on top because it's leaking. The main elevator had a problem, with a taped notice saying no more than two people could use it. The inner left door wouldn't open, so you had to squeeze in sideways. A big suitcase would be difficult to manage. When I was with my two female friends, I had to take the stairs every time to get to the second floor. I was shocked to find out this hotel has a 4-star rating. With all these issues, it doesn't even deserve 2 stars. Never again, not even for free.
