The apartment is in a quiet spot, and the maid is very pleasant. But the host was paranoid and controlling, and we didn’t get fresh bedsheets during our stay. There’s a steep climb, and the nearest grocery shop is 120 stairs away. Coming back up from the beach makes the distance feel even worse. There are many better places just one street below. If being spied on sounds good to you, though, I highly recommend it.

For a clean room, pretty balcony, clean bathroom, and a quiet night’s sleep in Budva, Contessa feels like home. We’re grateful to the owners, the gentleman and lady, for all the extra help they gave us. My greetings to them.

The apartment was clean, with a nice view of the city and part of the sea. The host was very nice, and there’s street parking where you can leave your car. It’s about three minutes by car from the city, or ten minutes or less on foot.
