Hotel Atlantic

The pool area was a nice place to relax. Our apartment was comfortable and fine, and the staff were lovely, even though we didn’t speak their language. A couple of them could communicate with us, and some understood English.

We had a very pleasant holiday here. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is included in the price and was excellent, and the staff were always ready to help. It’s in a great spot near the beach, with free parking too.

The noise from the beach club beside the hotel was so loud that sleeping was difficult while parties were going on, sometimes into the early morning. Parking was another major problem. There are some spaces, but far more cars than spots, so I had to leave mine next to the hotel and it got scratched. The place was dirty, and plumbing problems often caused bad smells. A couple of photos give you an idea of what the hotel looks like, but it’s hard to show briefly what you’re really getting into. The equipment is old and worn, too. I was put in a different room from the one I booked because mine wasn’t available. They told me the Booking photos showed several different rooms, not one specific room. With the long drive and our friends caught in the same situation, I felt stuck there. I also met a few other people who had the same complaints. This was the biggest booking mistake I’ve ever made. I’d never recommend this place, even to my worst enemy. I feel bad for the nice reception ladies who have to deal with guests’ disappointment. By the way, it seems they work 12-20 hour shifts. I think this is my first review this negative, and the biggest mistake I’ve made while traveling using Booking.com.

The sea views and location were nice, and the apartment had a kitchen and fridge for cooking. The host left fresh fruit for us and chocolates for the kids. We liked the pool, and breakfast was okay. The one problem was the air conditioning. It didn’t cool the whole apartment. We had booked a big place with two rooms, and I think the facade may not be insulated. The inner room got really hot, and we couldn’t sleep until 3 am.
