Hostel Pupa

The hostel feels almost brand new, and the showers and toilets were super clean. Rooms are brilliant, with one of the best mattresses I’ve slept on in a hostel. Some staff members and volunteers really added to my stay. It’s social, but there’s room to do your own thing when you need it. Amazing place, I’d recommend it to anyone.

It quickly felt like a home away from home, and I ended up extending my stay by four days. Nina and her staff were incredibly welcoming and gave me the best NYE experience ever. I’ll always be grateful for the time here and the friends I made. The beds are comfy, with privacy curtains, and the separate men’s and women’s bathrooms were always clean. Kotor itself is beautiful, too. Thank you ❤️ 🇲🇪

I came through “Worldpacker” for what I understood to be a two-month volunteer exchange with lodging in return for service. On the day I arrived, they said they were closing the hostel for a month and that I had to leave on the 14th, even though it was still open and accepting bookings. I believe they deliberately lured me with a false promise. The deception, unpaid work, and baiting people with a work exchange felt like all the signs of trafficking. Beds in nearby apartments cost less per night than their hostel. It’s a nice hostel, but overpriced. As I left, reception said they’d “get back in the game in a month” and called it a really “hard game.”
