Porto In Hotel

As two Americans, we found everything we needed here. The room was spacious and very clean, with a really nice bathroom, and it worked out great for New Year’s Eve. The hotel is close to the castle area, with plenty of good places to eat nearby. We could also walk to the main bus station without too much trouble, even with a heavy roller bag.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the hotel was clean, nicely kept, and in the middle of the city. We had a great bed and a nice little balcony. There were a few minor room problems: the bathroom smelled a bit, and the vent had to stay on all the time while we were there. Some lights didn’t work either. Small things overall, and we still had an amazing stay. Getting around Kotor was the bigger problem. Traffic is awful, and since the hotel is on the main square where all the traffic has to cross, expect major delays at any time.

Breakfast was very good, and the hotel itself is comfortable, clean, and well located, with spacious rooms. The shower is big, though they only provide one kind of soap. Free parking is hard to come by. The hotel has a lot for 10 euros a day, but it’s confusing to find.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but had a disappointing service experience. There was a misunderstanding about leaving my luggage, and I ended up being charged 20 euros for keeping it there for three hours. The fee hadn’t been made clear to me at first. I asked if I could eat at the hotel restaurant instead to avoid the charge, but they weren’t willing to work with me. If I’d known it would cost that much, I wouldn’t have left my bag.
