Hotel Terminus

I stayed three nights, September 10, 11, and 12, and paid 240 euros in total. The location is handy for visiting the city and close to grocery stores, with the bus station a one-minute walk away and the clock tower in the old town 15 minutes on foot. I booked through booking.com. To my surprise, I was upgraded to suite #501 for the first two nights at no extra cost, then moved to standard room #112 for the third night. The suite was 58 square meters, with a large bedroom, living room, and two bathrooms. One had a spa bath, walk-in shower with both a shower head and rain shower, toilet, and two sinks. The other had a shower, toilet, and sink. There was plenty of storage, a refrigerator, excellent Wi-Fi, a TV, and a hair dryer, but no in-room safe. You can leave valuables in a safe at the front desk, which is staffed 24/7. There was no coffee or kettle in the room, though you can request a kettle from reception. The suite had carpeted floors and multiple windows in each of its three rooms. It was very outdated, but for the price of the free upgrade, I'd recommend paying a few extra euros to experience the 58-square-meter suite. The soundproofing was excellent despite the nearby train and bus station, with no noise at all. The air conditioning worked very well. The standard room was 19 square meters and had the same amenities, except its bathroom didn't have a walk-in shower. Both rooms had mattresses that were a bit soft for me, though that's a matter of personal comfort. They also had real glass cups, not paper ones. The suite mattress was comfortable but slightly soft, and the standard room mattress felt a bit soft too. I dealt with four different women at the front desk, and they were all kind and always smiling. The cleaning lady and the lady at breakfast were just as kind. I'm 100% satisfied with the staff. Breakfast was included in my reservation and was excellent and very complete. There was a fire alarm in the room and an evacuation plan on the door. For 240 euros for three nights, I thought it was excellent, and I got to try the suite with the free upgrade. I'd rate it 8/10 because the rooms are old-fashioned. It would have been 10/10 if the rooms, especially the suite, had been renovated. I recommend the hotel if you're okay with rooms that are a bit outdated and old-fashioned. Thank you to the whole team of women who work there and always greet guests with a lovely smile to make them comfortable.

The staff were all friendly and spoke good English, and breakfast was okay. The location is very handy for the bus station, and the 24-hour reception makes late arrivals or departures easy. The room was generally fine, but it could have been cleaner, with cobwebs and a lot of limescale around the shower. I could hear some music late at night, maybe from a nearby party.

Coming in late by bus worked well here, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They even let me check out late because my bus wasn't leaving until after 12 noon. The room was tidy and clean. Breakfast was great for the price, with cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheeses, meat, sweets, eggs, and bread. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night, and the room was quiet since it faced away from the terminal, apart from the occasional low rumble of a passing train. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm, and there were plenty of blankets if we'd needed them. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Wi-Fi was shaky for about an hour, but good enough overall for basic browsing. We didn't try streaming. The breakfast bar was very good, though we got up late and some of it had already been picked over. The carpets are old and could use a shampoo, though they aren't bad. I think hotels should have hard-surfaced floors instead of carpets. It's a good place to stay if you want to be near the bus and train terminal. I reserved through Booking and thought the price was high. I couldn't find an email or website to reserve directly, though the front desk staff speak English, so it might be possible to call and book direct for a better rate.
