Old town

The building felt close to falling apart, and the whole stay was disappointing and uncomfortable. We struggled to enjoy being there and were glad to move somewhere better. The two people there mostly wanted to speak themselves, so listening to us or what we had to say felt impossible. They kept invading our privacy, barging into our room without warning while people were sleeping and at random times during the day, which kept us on edge. They threatened to call the police if someone wasn't dressed the way they liked or if we sat outside, even when we weren't talking loudly. Every day was a struggle, and we didn't want to go back to the hostel.

The location is good, close to the station and town center, but the rest of the place was awful. It smelled strongly of cat urine, ammonia, and mildew, and the whole property was damp and stuffy. Coming back from outside made us gag. There were more animals than guests, and I wouldn't let even a dead body sleep there. It's absolutely disgusting and dirty, a health hazard in my view. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned since World War 1. I honestly wouldn't know where to start cleaning. The place is falling apart: the shower rod was wired to the ceiling, the toilet seat was broken, paint peeled everywhere, and a wood palette was holding up the a/c unit. I could keep going. Stay somewhere else if you can.

We couldn't communicate with the owners at all. They wouldn't let us talk or even excuse ourselves, and they came into the bedrooms frequently without telling us. At 8pm they tried to call the police because we were supposedly too loud, even though the agreement was to be quiet at 11pm. The rooms were old, in bad shape, and close to falling apart. They also changed the WiFi-Passoword overnight without telling us. A horrible experience, 0/10, wouldn't recommend.

The spacious rooms, affordable price, and good location give this place some potential. The Boss lady did her best to help me, even though she doesn't really speak English, and I feel it could be good with some work. As it is, though, everything felt dodgy: the door, drainage, electrics, and lock, plus a strange smell and construction equipment left in the corridors. It needs attention.
