The apartment was attractive, and the hotel looked lovely, but our 5 nights at Porto Palace left us disappointed with the service. It didn’t feel like the attention or care you’d expect from a five-star place. There was nobody to help with the door when we arrived. The steam room was out of order, and no one had told us in advance. The spa often had no staff around, there was no massage menu when we asked, and we couldn’t see health and safety guidance or find anyone nearby to help. The appliances in our modern-looking room weren’t explained, and no one showed us where things were. The oven had no oven gloves, which felt like a small but real safety concern. At breakfast, we had to ask for a drinks menu every time. Service was generally slow, and management wasn’t visibly present during the stay, something we only confirmed by asking. Staff were inconsistent, and some came across as unwelcoming. Petar, Kristina, two male staff members in the restaurant, and the women and male we checked out with were kind and helpful. The gym had no bottled or chilled water dispenser. After the sauna, there was no indoor place to sit and relax when the weather outside was poor. During turndown or downtime service, all we got was bottled water, with no small thoughtful touches, so it felt transactional. The worst interaction was with the manager at reception. She seemed condescending and dismissive, made assumptions, and compared our experience with other guests instead of listening to our concerns. It felt unprofessional and invalidating. We’ve stayed in Montenegro several times, including at other five-star hotels, so we know the hospitality the country can offer. Porto Palace didn’t meet that standard for us. It’s an attractive property with real potential, but the service, communication, and management need significant improvement to deliver the luxury experience it promises.

Our room was so comfortable, with luxurious, home-like decor that made it easy to relax. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious, every dish we tried. Room service was outstanding, and the cleanest and most attentive I’ve ever had. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels, but rarely experienced service like this. Every staff member was genuinely welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our unforgettable stay at Porto Palace Tivat. A heartfelt thank you to the whole team. We’re leaving with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with superb food, presentation, and atmosphere. The female restaurant manager was warm and professional, and her care made us feel valued and at home. The entire team brought that same friendliness and willingness to help, making us feel like family. Porto Palace Montenegro was spotless, from the well-kept lobby to the immaculate rooms, which felt both comfortable and luxurious. From the moment we arrived, the professionalism and genuine hospitality stood out. It was our first visit to Montenegro, and the stay was unforgettable. I’ve stayed in hotels around the world, and this was one of my best experiences. The service, cleanliness, and welcoming staff made everything feel perfect. If you want comfort, luxury, and excellent hospitality, I can’t recommend Porto Palace highly enough. I’ll definitely return!

The breakfast was lovely, made with fresh local ingredients and served in a peaceful setting. We enjoyed coffee on the terrace in the morning and the cozy lounge in the evening. The atmosphere always felt right. Everything in this boutique hotel seemed carefully put together, from the immaculate, tastefully decorated room with its plush bedding and quality amenities to the warm, intimate feel throughout. It blends luxury and character in a way I rarely find, even in high-end hotels. The team were attentive and welcoming without being intrusive, and every interaction felt sincere. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. It’s a calm, comfortable place for people who appreciate quality. We’re already looking forward to coming back.
