The hotel has a beautiful view and a spacious layout, right in the heart of the city with shops and taxis nearby. But comfort was a real problem. The power went out around 5 or 6 pm every day, sometimes for four hours, and once stayed off for more than 10 hours, from 7 pm until noon the next day. Three times my child went to bed without eating because it got too late. It’s disgraceful that the hotel has no generator when the hotels next door do, and even the manager on the 6th floor has one. We paid for a stay and had no comfort at all. The hotel left a lot to be desired, and I would have left much earlier if I could. The laundry cost over €50 for 13 items, far more than a laundromat in France, and the clothes weren’t even dry. At that price, they could have been washed with detergent instead of soap, since they had no scent. The scales were broken, and the hotel apparently couldn’t afford a replacement. I had to weigh my suitcase at the airport and found I was 10 kg over the limit. Despite the view, I’d choose somewhere more comfortable. Just so you know.

The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast only, and there’s also a very good massage service. I rented an apartment here and found it excellent value. The rooms were large and well equipped, with a separate bathroom for each bedroom. The kitchen had an induction hob, microwave, rice cooker, medium sized fridge, and crockery. Bed linen was changed every two days. The only problems were due to the city administration: the power went out briefly twice during our five days.

The view over Antananarivo is breathtaking, and there’s a supermarket right downstairs. We stayed as a family over the Easter holidays and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very spacious, the hotel is secure, and the staff were incredibly attentive. They also gave us great advice about nearby restaurants and places to visit. I highly recommend it. Thanks again for everything!
