The lack of an elevator can be taxing, so that kept me from giving it five stars. Still, this is definitely the best value for your money. I was skeptical because of the price, but pleasantly surprised. It’s new, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean with a TV, fast WiFi, bar fridge, desk and tea and coffee station.

It has been closed since Covid, and there’s no reopening date.

The area feels shabby, but the place is clean and good value.

Food options are close by, and there’s a supermarket about a 350-meter walk away. The location is great and the room price is reasonable. Street-facing rooms can be noisy. Paying in Ariary seems to be better value: the airport rate for US dollars is 1:3600, while the hotel’s is 1:3300, about a 9% difference that makes exchanging there uneconomical.

The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff I met were cheerful and helpful. It’s a great spot if you want to be in the middle of the city’s atmosphere. The one real drawback is that the elevator still isn’t working.
