Plumeria Hotel

Thin walls let you hear everything from all over, and road noise is bad. The shower pressure is weak, and the WiFi is awful and unstable. Still, the rooms are nice, the place is very clean, the interior is pleasant, staff are attentive, and there’s complimentary water in the room. It’s a decent enough hotel, but I don’t think Plumeria is good value. There are smaller, better quality places for less money in nearby side streets. I’d stay at one of those if they had room. Plumeria seems more like somewhere posh Madagascan people want to be seen staying.

Everyone working here is lovely, and the hotel is really comfortable. The restaurant is amazing, with the best food and cocktails in Madagascar.

There’s a good espresso, and if you ask, they can have breakfast ready at 5:30. The mattress and restaurant were nice, and everything else felt perfect. One drawback: no AC or mosquito protection. If your room gets warm, you can’t open the window without protection.

Clean, modern, and nice, but incredibly noisy and hot. The layout means all the room doors open onto the main lobby, where music and people talking stay really loud late into the night. It seemed noisy from every room. We tried opening the window to cool the room, but the air pollution made that unpleasant, and the street was noisy too.
