10/10
The rooms were spotless, and room 7, where I stayed, was one of the newly completed rooms and was great. The hotel is 15 minutes from the airport and is being renovated. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool was cleaned every day. The outside is also due for a new look, but it doesn’t do the rooms justice. A pleasant surprise.

I had a short, pleasant stay at Victory Hotel in Tulear. It was clean and comfortable, with well-kept facilities and a convenient location. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It worked well for a brief city stopover, and I’d consider coming back for a longer visit.

The room was spacious and laid out nicely, but we had a rough stay. The air conditioning had a problem at check-in, water wouldn’t drain from the shower or toilet, the TV went out several times, and the room smelled moldy. At checkout, the receptionist tried to charge more than she’d quoted. Management stepped in and agreed to a lower rate.

The rooms and grounds were a real highlight, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Management was kind and accommodated every need of our large group, and the service was helpful. The only downside was how long the food took to arrive, though I’d say it was worth the wait.

The photos make the rooms look much nicer than they are in person. Card payment wasn’t accepted. It’s decent enough for one night.
