The location is excellent, and there's a cute terrace at the front. We arrived in the evening and rang the bell. The host seemed odd, though also sympathetic, and didn't appear to know much about our booking. We'd paid 9€ per night for two dorm beds, but she took us to a private front room with a shower and toilet. It was nice and reminded me of my grandma's house. Getting a key took some effort, and we didn't get our 100 denar change back, though it wasn't a big amount. Thanks for hosting us.

I can't recommend Anastasia homestay. The location might be good, but the place was dirty and damp, with a mildew smell and gaps under the door. I even found a scorpion in the apartment. The internet was under 1 Mbps, and I had no connection for five days. I messaged Antonio throughout that time and got no reply until I contacted Airbnb. After that, I learned more about Antonio's character. He wouldn't refund the second month's rent. In my experience, he took the money and disappeared. Stay away.

The room was comfortable and reasonably clean, but the host repeatedly entered without knocking and pushed us to leave early. The WiFi didn't work either. On our first night, she told us we'd have to move rooms the next morning. She came upstairs, knocked briefly, then walked in and gave us five minutes to pack. We accepted it as a booking mistake. The next room was the private room with a kitchen and bathroom that we'd actually booked, but the host used it as a passageway for other guests. Once, while I was changing, a group of women came in and stood there arguing in Albanian. We had agreed to check out at 11 am, but at 8:15 she woke me by pounding on the door and demanded the room back right away because new guests had arrived. A very strange host.

We booked a flat with its own kitchen and bathroom, but when we arrived, the host said someone else was already in it. She apologized and seemed nice, then offered for us to sleep in her living room with her and her daughter. Why list the flat as available if it wasn't? The whole situation was odd and not worth the hassle.
